Hi there Mercedes owners. Today in your 2021 Sprinter 3500, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install REDARC's Tow-Pro Elite trailer brake controller. To assist us with this install, we're also going to be using a plug-and-play harness from Tekonsha. We will still have to do a little bit of splicing but it's gonna make our world a whole lot easier. REDARC's Tow-Pro Elite is going to be a very hidden brake controller that's installed in our Mercedes here. That will allow us to have a very small footprint here in our dash that's gonna give us all the typical outputs that our regular brake controller was without that massive controller that would be hanging here. more

So with our break controller whenever we are towing anything behind our vehicle it is proportionally going to distribute that breaking pressure from our vehicle to our trailer. The benefits of choosing this bit break controller are going to be it is going to provide a nice smoother driving experience and it also is going to be a lot safer and stress free on your vehicle as well whenever you're towing that extra weight behind it. So what the Redarc Tow Pro elite it is a very compact small package, it allows us to put our wiring and the main unit underneath the dash. And that way we aren't hitting our knees or accidentally adjusting or possibly damaging our controls here as you can see. It does make it nice and easy because you can access it here close to your steering wheel and that's going to help if you happen to need to use the manual override. more

Today we have a 2016 Mercedes Benz Metris, and we're gonna take a look at and show you how to install the CURT Echo Mobile Brake Controller.This is a very simple plug and play proportional brake controller that's going to use the existing seven way connector on your Mercedes, as well as a 12 volt power source, and just simply by downloading an app on your smartphone, you can have full control over your brake controller.What I really like about this brake controller, is that we don't have to worry about mounting any controller to the inside of our vehicle. It's not gonna be in the way, we're not gonna hit our knee on it, and we especially don't have to mount it to the inside of our vehicle. You don't have to worry about modifying any of the paneling down here. We're just finding that right spot to mount it. In conjunction with the etrailer eclectic trailer brake controller installation kit part number ETBC7.Here's what our brake controller looks like installed. As you can see we have a nice easy to read display, which makes this a very easy brake controller to use. Today on our 2016 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 proportional trailer brake controller for one up to four axles. It's part number is 90195. We're also going to be using the electronic trailer brake installation kit, part number ETBC7 to complete our install. Now here's what our Prodigy P3 is going to look like installed. This is an excellent choice in brake controllers. It's one of my favorites. Basically this is going to handle from one up to four axles. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter- Video
Today in this Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van, were going to install part number 90885 from Tekonsha. To help us to install our brake controller, were also going to use part number ETBC7. Were going to need another part which is a bracket for us to install our 7-pole connector bracket. Thats going to be part number 18136. Lets do a manual override. You can see how it scrolls the numbers so that works. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2013 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 90885- Video
Today on the 2013 Sprinter van, were going to install brake controller part number 90885. Now, this Sprinter van has a tow package port. Now, the port is located underneath the driver seat. What we need to do is actually remove the driver seat. There are four bolts on the bottom that need to be removed. Now this doesnt use common bolts but we did find out that 11 mm 12 point socket will work with these bolts and also, it does help to use 11 mm ratchet wrench as well. Now, first three bolts are relatively easy to get to and to remove. Now, the back bolt by emergency break is a little hard to get to so it makes things a little easier if we remove the three bolts and then twist the whole chair around the bolt to give us some working room for our ratchet wrench. more
